In a remarkable display of community spirit and resilience, a Healing Circle was hosted on October 9th at our church, currently serving as a refuge for 46 asylum seekers. This heartwarming event was made possible through the generous support of King County, and it created a profound impact on everyone involved.

The Healing Circle was an oasis of calm in tumultuous times, offering a unique blend of prayer, spiritual upliftment, and physical healing. Guided by our dedicated certified mental health specialist, participants experienced a transformative session that rejuvenated both mind and spirit.

Parents voiced a strong desire for their children to participate in a Youth Healing Circle, eager for them to feel the same emotional relief and support. Despite the hurdles these families face, the importance of retreating to a personal sanctuary of peace was at the core of our discussions. It was a poignant reminder of the healing power of community and shared experiences.

During the circle, attendees engaged in a creative exercise, drawing their favorite places and activities that bring them solace. Many expressed a deep yearning to visit parks, highlighting nature and water as their sanctuaries. This activity not only fostered a sense of connection but also allowed participants to feel truly heard and seen.

The event concluded with a shared sense of peace and gratitude, leaving everyone uplifted and more connected than ever. We extend our heartfelt thanks to King County for enabling this journey of healing and connection, and to all those who joined us. Your presence and participation have made a significant difference.

Together, we continue to build a supportive community where healing and hope flourish.
