This week, the Congolese Health Board took a significant step towards fostering understanding and change by hosting a community listening session focused on the troubling rise in deaths during traffic stops. This event provided a heartfelt platform for community members to share their personal experiences with law enforcement.

The session was a powerful moment of connection, as each story shared echoed the fears, challenges, and hopes of the community. It served as a safe space where voices were heard, feelings were validated, and constructive solutions were discussed.

By bringing these experiences to light, the Congolese Health Board aims to influence improved policing practices and training that prioritize the safety and well-being of everyone. If the recommendations from this session are approved, they could pave the way for a safer, more inclusive future.

The event underscored the importance of open dialogue and understanding in building bridges within our community. Participants left with renewed hope and determination to drive positive change.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who courageously shared their stories. Your voices are vital in driving the necessary changes. Let's continue this momentum, promote understanding, and work towards a brighter tomorrow for all.
