Who says youth engagement hibernates after summer? CIN proved otherwise this weekend, blending scoops of joy with self-care advocacy at its lively ice cream social. Dozens gathered to savor flavors from classic vanilla to bold dulce de leche, but the real treat? Reigniting bonds in a post-pandemic era where connection matters more than ever.

Scoops & Smiles

Attendees swapped stories over cones while browsing wellness kits stocked with mindfulness journals, herbal teas, and hygiene essentials. “Community isn’t built in grand gestures—it’s these moments of shared laughter and real talk,” said organizer [Name]. Newcomer Amina Diallo added, “I moved here last month. Today, I found my people.”

Wellness Meets Warmth

The event doubled as a resource hub, with local partners offering free mental health guides and discounted gym passes. “Self-care starts with community care,” noted volunteer [Name], as teens debated whether mint chip tops cookie dough.

Why It Matters:

  • Isolation Crisis: 45% of young adults report loneliness (CDC).

  • Holistic Health: 70% of Gen Z prioritize mental wellness (Forbes).
